This dog is roaming Herrmansburg, an Aboriginal community just outside Alice Springs. Outsiders are not allowed in the village except for a small compound that used to be a mission and, of course, the supermarket. The mission was founded by some German preachers who tried to convert the indigenous people. Ultimately, they failed and were chased away. And rightly so...
